In Tibetan Buddhism, Vaishravana showing as powerful figure, known as the Guardian of the North and one of the Four Heavenly Kings, and who known as Kubera in Buddhist and Hindu traditions. In Buddhist cosmology, he resides in the northern quarter of the world, overseeing not only the physical realm but also safeguarding the teachings of the Buddha. His presence is believed to bring prosperity, not just in material wealth but also in spiritual richness.

In traditional thangka paintings and wall of the monastery art, Vaishravana is often depicted as a regal and commanding figure. He is believed to bring both material and spiritual prosperity to those who live righteously. Usually Vaishravana is showing as wearing armor, carrying a banner of victory or mongoose that spits jewels, symbolizing his power to defeat obstacles and distribute wealth and a powerful symbol of generosity and the endless flow of wealth. In every houses keeping his thangka reminds devotees that true wealth is not hoarded but shared for the benefit of all beings.

Such thangkas are believed to bring spiritual protection, balance, and stability to practitioners and to the places where they are displayed, such as monasteries and temples.
