This beautiful hand-painted Tibetan thangka painting depicts Mañjushri འཇམ་དཔལ་, also known as Mañjughosha. Mañjushri is the embodiment of the knowledge and wisdom of all the Buddhas. He holds a sword that cuts all ignorance in his right hand and a Prajnaparamita sutra book in the left hand and is supported by a flower blossom.

The mantra om a ra pa tsa na dhih appears in the circles around the main image of Mañjushri.

The thangka is painted entirely by hand on cotton canvas using natural mineral and vegetable pigments with 24K gold details. The complicated designs, intricate brushstrokes, and extraordinary detail make these thangkas authentic works of Buddhist art. A true masterpiece, this traditional Buddhist painting is the perfect addition to your home, meditation space, room shrine or altar space.
